OK, so now that I’ve joined it, I can see the appeal.

After a few months of hearing about celebrities on Twitter, I thought I should probably get a Twitter account (in the interests of science, you understand). Although I named one of my mixes after it, I hadn’t really bothered with Twitter at all until now. I’d set up a company Twitter account, but only to play about with the API, but now that I’ve joined and have added (sorry, now that I’m “following”) a few friends, I can see the appeal. The only thing I want it to do is email me when someone I’m following posts a Tweet. I’d be quite interested to know that Stephen Fry has just totalled Top Gear’s Reasonably-Priced Car, for example.

Still, it’s simplicity is it’s greatest asset, and the fact that you can use hashtags and search for various events/people/things etc, it all makes for a nice time-waster if nothing else. It’s also like having a real-time news feed at your fingertips.

So, for now, I’m going to get back to furiously refreshing my Twitter feed. Over and out…
