There’s something wrong with IE, you say?

Although I actually read about this yesterday, I couldn’t be arsed to post about it after such a long-winded entry yesterday morning. It seems that yet another Internet Explorer vulnerability has found it’s way onto the mainstream hacking sites, and even though Microsoft is aware of the issue, they’re not really doing anything about it just yet. Which means the nasty little hacker people have got about a month until M$ coughs up a patch, all the while they can do their darndest to infect as many sites as possible.

I’m guessing Microsoft wont wait that long, as the vulnerability seems to affect IE5, 6, 7 and 8, so they’ll need to do something about it quicksmart.

UPDATE: Sure enough, the BBC have caught wind of it today. At least they’ve decided to fix the issue now.

I realise I mentioned a while ago that I’d post less about current goings on, and more about my thoughts about certain subjects in general. That hasn’t been the case so far, and I’m still stumped as to what to write about. I’ve usually got an opinion about whatever happens to be in the news anyway.

I recently watched the first two episodes of a new show called Leverage. What with the current US TV season on a break for Christmas, I thought I should probably see what all the fuss is about with these mid-season starters. Leverage seems quite good, if a bit cliché at first. It’s basically the same as the UK program ‘Hustle’, which ran for a couple of seasons. Except this is American, and has supposedly got criminals stealing things from the rich and powerful and giving to the poor and needy, but with a moral twist. Like Robin Hood, but with Catholic priests as his merry men.

Thankfully Heroes, Terminator and Prison Break are still being shown. There’s just too much good TV these days (it’s just a shame we don’t get it over here!)
