Woke up with a headache this morning, which I’ve still got, in fact. I hate that. I can’t really understand why you wake up with a headache (unless it’s a hangover) when all you’ve been doing is sleeping.

Yes! It’s Friday again – the best day of the week. It might be pouring with rain outside, the economy might have gone belly up, and I might not have dropped the kids off at the pool yet this morning, but it’s still a great day!

Can’t be arsed!
For some silly reason I didn’t get nearly as much sleep last night as I should have done, so I’ve been too (un)busy/(un)interested to manage to post today. Tomorrow is Friday!

About half an hour before I was supposed to meet with my mortgage advisor yesterday, he rang me up and cancelled the appointment. Grrr!

I don’t think I like having a typical day, to be honest. I don’t think I’m a routine person at all. I can hack getting up at 7am and doing the typical 9-to-5 job just like everyone else, but I’d rather have something a little more unpredictable. Sure, when I’m all settled down in a few years, then yeah, I’ll want something a little more stable and predictable. But for now, I don’t like this “routine” lark.

And good job, too. Although to be honest, I don’t know where this week has gone.
So, Obama is to be inaugurated on Tuesday. Let’s hope he makes some changes after the Bush administration has left. There seem to be some very high hopes for the new president-to-be, so lets hope he can follow through. (No pressure!)

Well, it’s that time of year again. And unfortunately I’m stuck at work, doing not a lot. Still, today is the last day of work (until Monday) so that’ll make it three threee-working-day weeks in a row. Win!

“I’m so excited, but I just can’t hide it…”
For the first time in a long history of Wednesday mornings, I woke up happy. Well, as happy as I usually wake up on a Friday morning anyway. Because today is the Friday of this week for me. For this week and next, I’m having a four-day weekend, which means I’ll only be working 6 days out of 16. Woo! I have to enjoy it while I can, because, as I’ve mentioned before, I’ll be working over Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Ah well, you can’t win ‘em all.

After trundling off to the gym in the cold and the rain last night after work, I found that my long lost trainers were nowhere to be found. Nor had anyone at the gym picked them up and isolated them for scientific study. As it turns out, they were at home all along, and now I have to suffer the embarrasment of making an appearence at the gym tonight, wearing the trainers that I told everyone I had lost, but had, in fact, not looked hard enough for in the first place.
