Morning all! I’m bored off my tits today, and seem to have no motivation to do anything much, so I decided to see what’s going on in the tech world right now, before I trundle off to this meeting a bit later on. And quite a lot is going on it seems…

Not much going on at the moment. Oh, it was my birthday this week, and I’m celebrating with a weekend of drunkeness oop norf. But other than that, it’s been a pretty average week.

Feels like an eternity since I was last able to post a blog entry on here. Which I suppose is just as well as there isn’ta lot going on at the moment.

Well, it’s not that weird, but it feels it for me. Friday is the best day of the week if you ask me, and so the day before (Thurday, obviously) is the day that you’re urging to hurry up, so that the good day can come about. (I have weird thoughts sometimes…)

Hmm, this year seems to be the year for celebrity deaths it seems. If you haven’t heard already, Patrick Swayze (of Dirty Dancing fame) died today of pancreatic cancer. I can’t say I was a big fan of his films, but at 57, it wasn’t exactly his time to go. Rest in peace.

I’ve noticed a surge in users who’ve registered on the site lately, although nobody seems to comment on anything, so I’m starting to think that they’re just spam bots. But if not – hello to you all!

I’m sitting here at work, with a bit of a headacahe. It must be all that stress, I tell you! We had one or two things go a bit wrong yesterday – nothing major, but it involved tracking down and fixing bugs. Having saying that I’d fixed a bug, it re-appeared today, to show that I hadn’t, in fact, fixed it at all. Actually I had, but I’d altered the wrong version of that particular web app. Still, you live and learn!

Yep, it’s that time of the week again. And thankfully things are quiet here at work. I’m hoping that as I’m going away for a month in about a week’s time, they won’t get me working on anything much over this next week.

Ahh, Friday – the best day of all of them. It’s just a shame there’s only one a week!

So, this weekend I’ll be heading up north to sort out some stuff for my trip to the USA. It’s only a few weeks away now, so everything is looming ever close. By the end of the weekend, though, we should be pretty much set.
