I know I said I’d do a writeup of my time in the USA, and I (probably) still will, but right now I wanted to write about something that I’ve been wanting to see since I saw the trailer for the first time: District 9.

“Blame it on the boogey!”
Well, there are few things going on in the news at the moment, but I think we’ve all heard about Michael Jackson’s passing by now. Every news outlet around the world has been hot on the heels of the story since it broke at around lunchtime yesterday (American time).

Out of boredom more than anything else, I decided to have a play about with some website designs yesterday. I’m a little bit bored of how this site looks, and I decided I wanted something that looked a little more professional. Whether or not anything will come of it, I don’t know.

Yes, that’s right – Big Brother starts tonight!
I’ll be watching it religiously, as I’ve found myself doing in the past, although I’ll miss a month of it due to my American trip. Still, I’m sure I’ll want a break from it half way through anyway!
I’ll no doubt have lots to say about it all, but I just hope I’ll get the time to write about it here! The launch show is on tonight at 9pm UK time. I might even be persuaded to check out Davina on Big Mouth.

Well, after having a couple of days with no snow, it seems to have started up again. We were all told that we should expect some more snow by the weekend, but it seems to have started a day early. Unfortunately, I already made it into work, and I could possibly be stranded here if the buses aren’t running tonight.

Woohoo! Today is the start of my second four-day weekend. At this rate I’m going to forget exactly what it is I do at work!
Over the last couple of days I’ve found myself using some DJ forums (ingeniusly entitled DJForums.com) and so I’ve not been doing much work, or much of anything else for that matter. I have to say that the range of knowledge on those forums is immense. There are complete novices, and proper experts. The good thing is that it’s a very active forum, and people are always willing to contribute. From what I’ve seen the place seems friendly enough, but get on their bad siede and things go very badly for you! Still, it’s a useful place for anyone who DJs. I just cant believe it’s taken me this long to find it!

I finally got round to watching Wall-E last night. I’d previously seen the first two thirds or so, but got interupted and didn’t manage to see the end. But last night I made the effort, and what a cracking film it is too. It’s what kids films are all about!

Or should I say ‘flop’?
Yes, I probably should. Yesterday I went to see the new James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace, and even after a slight warning from someone who had already seen it, I was still left feeling disappointed. It’s not a bad film, as such, but it’s not exactly great either. It’s got nothing that makes it stand out, except an overly expensive budget.
